Thanksgiving in North Georgia

We spent Thanksgiving in Dahlonega this year. Despite being cold and rainy, we still had fun.

The girls waited in line forever to get their faces painted. We then went back to our room at The Smith House, and the girls curled up with their headphones and Tag Readers. They also wanted the face paint wiped off. All that time standing in line only to have the face paint wiped off not 10 minutes later. It was just as well as I was scared they were going to get it all over the white bed linens.

On Thanksgiving, we went for a morning hike in the rain and the fog. It was cold and damp, but the girls were real troopers and hiked for over an hour without complaint.

Craig said they looked like a “Polka Dot Explosion!” Perhaps the polka dot pants, jackets and vests were a bit much? Never! No such thing as too many polka dots!
