St. Simons Beach Club

This condo was our “home away from home” from Sunday to Sunday while were in St. Simons.

These pictures were taken in the girls’ room. They loved it and I loved it too. I would love to recreate this room at home. I adored everything about it from the palm tree twin beds, to the bedding, the wall color and the plantation shutters. So sweet.

I think the girls’ favorite part was having their very own flat screen in their room. They especially loved relaxing and unwinding in there after a long, fun day at the beach and the pool.

Even their bathroom was adorable.

Speaking of relaxing, the master suite was amazing!!! It also had plantation shutters and access to the balcony. I loved the chaise lounge, the big comfy bed, and the flat screens, one in the bedroom and one in the bathroom. I spent every evening soaking in the tub while watching the Food Network. I seriously never wanted to leave this place!

The Master Bath was incredible! Huge garden tub and a gigantic shower with a bench. It was heavenly. The bathroom was one of the main features that sold me on choosing this condo over all the others.

The kitchen, dining room and living room areas were all very comfortable. The table expanded to seat six but we took the leaf out and made it smaller to give us some more space to get around.

The owners of this condo really thought of everything when they were decorating it to make it comfortable for guests. The couch and the corner chair and ottoman were perfect for flopping down with a good beach read. I really wanted a pretty place where we could relax and unwind at the end of the day and this far exceeded my expectations. I can’t wait to go back again!!!

This was the view from our balcony. Absolutely gorgeous!

The pool and the courtyard. The property is impeccably maintained and it was such a pretty walk through the courtyard to get the pool and the beach.

We walked through these sweet smelling Jasmine-covered archways every time we went to the beach or the pool.

Gorgeous landscaping and I adore the lighthouse fountain!

Now can you understand why we didn’t want to leave?

Tybee II

The kids really enjoyed playing and swimming in the salt water pool back at the beach house while Kristen and I relaxed in the rocking chairs on the pool deck.

After a wonderful day at the beach, we took an evening stroll down to the lighthouse.

This picture totally cracks me up. I wonder what Lauren is up too… hmm…. Kate is the only one posing for the picture, while Olivia is trying to rip the pickets off the fence and John Will could care less… Love it.

The next morning at the beach it was just the girls as John Will had to go to Urgent Care for a buckle fracture in his foot. Russell took the opportunity to take a lovely beachside nap in his stroller.

Even though our time in Tybee was short, every minute of if was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Once again, many thanks to the Peterson Family for letting us tag along. We really had the most wonderful time!

Tybee Island (Part I)

The last weekend in April, we spent a few glorious days in Tybee Island with our dear friends, the Petersons. We stayed in Kristen’s aunt and uncle’s beautiful beach house and we had the best time. The kids played non-stop, when they weren’t on the beach running in and out of the waves and building sandcastles, they were splashing around and having an absolute ball in the salt water pool. I LOVE days at the beach, the kids are exhausted at the end of the day and the expression of pure joy on their faces is positively priceless.

Sunset on the beach, our first night in Tybee.

The next morning, the kids could NOT wait to go back to the beach and play. The weather was perfect. They loved EVERY minute of it.

TOO BRIGHT!

I just can’t get enough of these two. They are hilarious together. I am so thankful they will be together in Preschool for the next two years.

Many thanks to the Petersons for inviting us to the beach with them, we had an amazing time and have enough memories to last a lifetime.
