Livie and Lauren’s Boo Y’All Ball

We threw a huge Halloween party this weekend. There were almost 50 people there! The weather was perfect, the kids were adorable and very well behaved and we all had a wonderful time!

Since the party was from 2:00-4:00 in the afternoon, we just had some light munchies. The menu consisted of Orange Party Punch, Spiderweb Dip and Tortilla Chips, Caramel Apple Dip with Granny Smith Apple Slices, Sister Schubert Sausage Rolls, Meatballs, and Devil’s Food Spiderweb cupcakes. (All recipes came from “A Taste of Home: Ultimate Halloween 2010)

Our playground was a hit and we were so blessed with beautiful weather for the party, we couldn’t have asked for a better day.

Once all the guests arrived, we started the Halloween activities.

Claire, our babysitter, did a fabulous job at the face painting station.

Gramma and Nanny and my friend Carol assembled the ingredients for the food craft. We made Marshmallow Witches.

The Marshmallow Witches were adorable and delicious and the kids really enjoyed making them. Many thanks to all who helped to make this activity run smoothly.

Lori and Kristen did a great job running the tattoo station.

We had a monster coloring station in the dining room. Surprisingly, the kids really enjoyed it. I figured they would be more interested in the activities that were going on outside, but most of them still took time to come in, relax and color.

At the end of the party, we gave each of the guests a mini jack-o-lantern treat bucket to take home.

What a fun day! Many thanks to all who pitched in to help with the various activities. We were exhausted by the end of it, but it was well worth it! Can’t wait for next year’s Halloween Party!
