Finally.

We joined our church three weeks ago. We met with the Pastor to see if there was any way they could baptize our daughters while my parents were visiting. It was short notice, the schedule was already overflowing with the incredible Easter Cantata and yet, they still managed to fit in a baptism so my parents could be there for the special occasion. We were so incredibly thankful that both sets of grandparents were able to attend. We feel truly blessed.

Here we are! Pastor Tom introduced us and said some lovely words that made me cry. I knew it would be emotional and one look at my Mom, who was also crying, sealed the deal.

Pastor Amy asked who wanted to go first, to which Olivia promptly replied, “I do, I do!!!”

Next up was Lauren.

She wasn’t scared because big sister, Livie, led the way.

Pastor Amy walked the girls all around the Sanctuary talking to them about Jesus.

The girls behaved so well, it just made my heart melt. It was such a relief and change from earlier in the week when we met with Pastor Amy and Olivia yelled that she didn’t want to be baptized! I nearly died, Craig laughed only because Olivia had no clue what being baptized meant. In the days leading up to Sunday we made sure to talk to the girls about the baptism so they would be prepared and not scared. Thank goodness it worked and they were so excited.

Since having them baptized, I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

In addition to our family, our dear friends the Petersons and the Olivers also joined us for the service. That meant the world to us to have them there with us.
