For the Teachers…

This year, I wanted to make something extra special for Livie and Lauren’s teachers. Both girls had a fantastic year and their teachers were positively lovely! They were such a sunny spot in my daughters’ lives so I wanted to spend a little extra time making something they would love.

  

It was really fun mixing and matching different fabrics for the right combination for each dish mat. Each one was unique and one-of-a-kind.

Asheville

We took a quick overnight trip to Asheville, NC last weekend to celebrate my FIL’s birthday.

 

I.Love.This.Picture! It pretty much sums up any time we get to spend with Auntie Ann. Laughing hysterically. Loads of fun.

 

We enjoyed dinner at one of our favorite French restaurants, Bouchon. You must check it out if you are ever in Asheville.

New Summer ‘Dos

Since school is now out for the summer, we decided to head to the salon for our new Summer ‘dos! Considering we’ll be spending lots of time at the pool, sometimes, several times a day down there, we opted for something chic, stylish, short and super cute!

Okay, so now these girls have cuter bathing suits and cuter haircuts than their Mama…

Hmm… I wish I could rock a super cute, short haircut and don’t even get me started on the topic of bathing suits for me…

Swim Team

Our swim team began practicing this week every day after school. The girls have been so excited and have been asking for the past month when practice was going to start. This is their first year on the team and they have loved going down to the pool each day to swim. We thought the pool was going to be freezing cold, but thanks to a solar cover that has been on it for the past month, the pool is actually the perfect temperature.

Olivia and Lauren’s friends, Kayla and Grant are in the same level and they are so excited to see them each day! Kayla is Lauren’s partner in crime at preschool so she was thrilled when she heard she would be joining her on swim team this year.

They can’t wait for practice to start each day. Luckily the weather has been cooperative this week, in fact, it’s actually been a little too hot, so some cooler temperature for the next few days will be a welcome change indeed.

Time keeps on slipping

This morning I had a Mother’s Day celebration in Olivia’s classroom. It was darling. The children worked very hard on their special gifts for us and there was not a dry eye in the room. It was precious, priceless and such a gift. This is Olivia’s last year at this preschool. She attended a five day 5’s class this year, we decided to hold her back a year from starting Kindergarten. That time is quickly approaching, she will soon be leaving the safe bubble of the preschool we have known and loved for the past four years. My little girl is turning into a big girl and this Mommy is feeling very sad.

This little peanut is always excited about a trip to big sister, Livie’s class. She was even more excited about the food.

Olivia has grown up so much this year. In the past, she was usually too shy to sing the songs in front of an audience but now, she sings them with joy. It makes this Mama proud!

Her class this year is full of precious children and her teachers are darling. We have been so blessed.

I love these girls so very much. It seems like yesterday when they were babies. Time passes so quickly and I feel truly blessed to be able to attend their preschool parties and drive them to and from school each day, listening to their excited chatter about all the fun they had at school. They are the best of friends. Poor Lauren’s heart is going to break when Livie  starts Kindergarten without her in August.
