Olivia turned six last month and we had a quiet celebration at home. She requested Penne a la Betsy, from Pioneer Woman’s cookbook for dinner and I made a Mandarin Orange Cake for dessert.
This cake was super easy to make and it was DELICIOUS!!! Especially the frosting, oh my word…
We added some fun sprinkles for good measure and we were ready to go!
So excited!
Choosing her wish…
Here we go…
and she huffed…
and she puffed…
and she eventually blew them all out.
Who knew blowing out six candles was such hard work?
So proud of herself.
Lauren and Livie loved this cake. You must try it!!! Recipe can be found here on Southern Plate.
Lauren is all business when it comes to food!
Craig picked out her gifts this year and it was all Lego.
The girls have had the best time building different things with Daddy.
Craig kept all of his old Lego from when he was little and they have had an absolute ball playing with the castles. It’s great to see creative minds at work.

Lauren and Livie made that cake look so good! I'm sure it was delicious but the icing around their little mouths makes it that much more crave-worthy!
