Craig and I took the girls to their first High School football game on Friday night. The weather was gorgeous, if a little on the hot side. We saw so many of our friends there, it was quite an event. Unfortunately, the girls were so mad at us for not bringing money to go to the concession stand. We had a huge dinner before we came and figured they wouldn’t be hungry. We seemed to have forgotten these simple rules;
- kids always have room for candy.
- candy looks even more delicious when other kids are eating it
- if you don’t get candy, major meltdowns ensue and the fun factor decreases
- send in the frowns

At halftime, the girls really enjoyed watching the bands perform.
After a long week, the girls were completely worn out. I think we’ll definitely try taking them to another game. Perhaps we will have them take a rest beforehand so they are not so tired and grouchy and let them each pick out a treat from the concession stand.
