Toes in the Water (SSI Part III)

Are you getting tired of beach pictures yet?! This is the last of them. DSC08898 DSC08797 DSC08810

When I took the picture of these guys fishing, I didn’t realize it was Craig and the girls in the water behind them. I love how the fishermen are silhouetted against the water.

Straight from the beach and into the nail salon for their first ever pedicure.

Yes, their hair looks atrocious, and yes, I didn’t care, because we were at the beach!

Olivia loved finding all kinds of cool, science-y stuff on the beach. It is so fun watching the excitement on your child’s face as they explore new things in life.

That wraps up our trip to St. Simons. I can’t wait to go back, we loved every minute of it. Now if I could just figure out how to maintain that laid back, come what may, attitude that accompanies a truly relaxing vacation, back here at home, where the reality of every day is in full effect.

Mornings in St. Simons (SSI Part II)

Sunlight strolls on the beach… does it get any better than this? The girls had so much fun exploring the beach, first thing in the morning and seeing all the shells and sea creatures. They were completely mesmerized.

The sunlight streaming through the clouds was absolutely gorgeous.

Daddy!!! Look what I found!

I loved their reflection when I took this picture, so I decided to take some pictures of just their reflection and they turned out pretty cool.

This is one of my favorite shots. I love their chubby little feet and the sand on Lauren’s knee.

Island Time (SSI Part I)

DSC08645  DSC08647 This picture was taken at the start of our morning walk, our first full day in St. Simons.  The girls are sitting on the steps of the boardwalk from the St. Simons Beach Club.

Every morning, we would wake up early and head down to the beach for a hour long sunrise walk on the beach. It was so peaceful and breathtaking. I wish I could do that every morning. After our walk, we would head back to the condo for a big, hot breakfast and then head to the beach and then the pool.

There is nothing like a vacation at the beach for spending quality, relaxing time with the ones you love.
