30th birthday and 30 side dishes…

We celebrated my sister-in-law’s 30th birthday during brunch at our house on Thanksgiving day.

Craig barely got the ham sliced and placed on the serving plate as there were many fingers stealing pieces of it every time he sliced it. Paw Paw braved having his fingertips cut off by the electric knife for the best piece… I think it was worth it.

Little Red Riding Hood Olivia and Vincent also stood in line for some barbequed ham. I followed my dad’s foolproof recipe, it is seriously delicious and one of the most anticipated dishes at every brunch.

Licking the candles clean, no frosting, however, pie filling will definitely do…

We ventured one street over to the in-laws for Thanksgiving dinner later that afternoon. Peggy is busy at work stir-frying the vegetables. Just when I thought they couldn’t possibly look and smell any yummier, Peggy would toss in even more veggies. It was quite a tasty assortment.

It was a wonderful and relaxing day filled with lots of love, laughter and enough food to last until next Thanksgiving.
